Internet Memes

This week in class was exciting as it directly relates to my blog topic: Internet Memes. Internet Memes provide humor to our lives and a way of interacting with one another. Here is a list of the Best Memes of 2017 as ranked by Thrillist.com: https://www.thrillist.com/entertainment/nation/best-memes-2017

Meme Culture

I, in addition to several other people in my generation, are surrounded by meme culture on a daily basis. The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is check my social media accounts. Thanks to the awful algorithm Instagram has implemented, I have to scroll through meme after meme before I get to photos of my actual friends. These memes do tend to brighten my morning though, and have become a way that my friends and I frequently communicate. Whether I'm tagging them in something relatable or something that made me think of them, it seems as though I constantly get notifications throughout the day to check out different memes on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
